Early Voting Still Strong

We've had seven days of early voting now, and the turnout still shows a strong lead over the turnout in 2002. Here is how the five largest counties are doing:

TRAVIS COUNTY
up 2.8%

TARRANT COUNTY
up 9.6%

DALLAS COUNTY
up 18.1%

BEXAR COUNTY
up 40.3%

HARRIS COUNTY
up 58.5%

As usual, the numbers & graphs can be found at Texas Gone Kinky.

  1. I voted yesterday in Montgomery county. I asked a polling judge how busy it has been when leaving and she showed me a printout noting over 12,000 voters have voted early in this county as of Sunday opening. I don't know how this figure relates to the total voters but thats about 5% of the total population. She said it was up!
